Parts Of Vinyl Siding
|
|
High Tension Structural Return. Puts pressure on the double thick fold-over
"windload" nail hem to keep it tightly closed down on the panel.
Nailing Hem. Helps keep the siding on the wall even in high winds.
Nail Depth Guide. Helps keep nails from being driven in too tight and ensures
that the siding will be able to move enough to help prevent buckling.
Drop Guard. Acts as a stop to help keep the siding panel from dropping too far
down-or even out of the lock-while being installed.
Hook and Hold Twister Lock. Designed to grab the panel butt and snap it in place.
Butt. Creates a distinct shadow line, like that of overlapping wood panels.
Profile. Vinly siding comes in varying thicknesses and designs, each providing
a new look by texture, color, and pattern.
Insulation. Some vinyl siding comes with insulation behind each panel, for added
temperature control and stiffness.
